About 26 Twits

On 13th September 2016 the world celebrates the centenary of the birth of Roald Dahl. We thought 26 should be part of that celebration so we invited members to sign up for a special project we call 26 Twits in honour of one of Roald Dahl’s funniest books.

We invited 26 members to take part, asking them to choose a favourite character from Dahl’s books. Then we asked them to write a 100-word story featuring that character (it could be extended if the story needed it) and to work with a junior artist (own child, grandchild, friend’s child) who would take the Quentin Blake role of illustrating the story. Some of the writers also wrote a feature describing how it all worked.

The work – written and visual – is posted here daily. By 13th September we have the full collection. Hope you enjoy it in all its whizzpoppiness.
